![]() ![]() What did she have to do that was so important? Well, she needed to unwrap the cocktail napkins and sort the liquor bottles. When the lone bartender did acknowledge my presence, she asked me wait for just a minute. be bothered to hire enough staff to accommodate a large crowd, you must elbow your way to the bar and wait…and wait. Every time I go I always tell myself ‘never again’! Although the do bring in some great entertainment, the service or more accurately, lack of service, leaves me frustrated. I keep going back to the Hideaway for the live music upstairs. For those who are military, they are working on getting a military discount. There is an elevator to access live music upstairs when they have a band. Both upstairs and downstairs restrooms are easily accessed. Many of the tables are tall, but just around the corner are shorter tables. This establishment is one of the most wheelchair friendly establishments I have been to in years. I am a wheelchair user and I like to do a writeup on restaurants that are wheelchair friendly. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The food was very tasty, the portions were generous, the beer selection was very nice, and the prices were good. Danny was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable with a side of humor. Danny was attentive, very helpful with drink menus and answering questions about the various. My sister Laura and I go out every Tuesday evening and try out a different restaurant. Because if this laughable excuse of a taco stand (then blowing off a customer’s concern altogether) is what Harry’s Hideaway thinks of not only their customers but of our US military? This place won’t be open much longer or get any more business from every single guest who witnessed it. She should go work at an establishment that doesn’t drop the ball on their customers and actually takes some pride and care in their meals and displays. She did a GREAT job helping us and making drinks for us through the night, though. My poor bartender was mortified and put in such an awkward position. ![]() ![]() AND we ended up having to order pizzas to the place for more food because when one of my guests went to try to order something off the menu we were told that no one was even IN the kitchen. Poor professionalism, disorganized, and just all around bad experience for my first time to this place. If I’d been given the professional courtesy of a response and meeting of the minds I wouldn’t have even done this ) He had no problem contacting me when it was time to collect payment. (Which is why I am even writing this review. I contacted the owner via text and expressed my concern and disappointment. But not $340 PLUS $200 for the very room me and my guests were eating it in. I was embarrassed and would expect such a pitiful display for MAYBE $150. Not even enough to feed 20 people a decent dinner. The night of the party arrived and the pitiful, flaccid display of a “taco bar” was set up on basically a card table, no real restaurant plates or utensils even, all tiny paper plates and flimsy plastic forks. Ok, whatever, paid and hoping for a great party and glad everything was squared away. I also asked if this establishment offered military discounts, and was told no. I showed my original quote (which was less) like. I went back to the Hideaway to pay for said food. I said, okayyy well I do so I’m glad I called and checked ahead of time. I was told by the owner “they had no record of me wanting food for the party”. So 2 days before party I called to make sure everything was ok and still on and pay the balance. He told me he would contact me a week before event to collect payment for it. I paid $200 to reserve the space and was given a quote of $346 for a taco bar. I just wanted something good and prepared for them for dinner. I had a sit down with the owner and explained it would be around 20 people, all military, and. I went in there a month ago to see about throwing a surprise birthday party for my husband.
